MotorUp!
(Federal Trade Comission Charges Them as Well!)

The story of MotorUp begins in Cut Bank, Montana in 1985. According to the Guinness Book of World Records the town holds the record for the greatest change in temperature in a 24 hour period. A frigid wind from Alaska called the Chinook commonly causes temperatures to fall to 40 or 50 degrees below zero at night and then rise up to 30 degrees above zero during the day. Cut Bank's book-making record is a 100 degree change in the same day.
It is these extreme conditions that have caused the area's farmers and manufacturers to frequently experience equipment failures. Conventional lubricants cannot withstand the demands that these unusual conditions place on them. Something more was needed.

In a high-tech laboratory in early 1985, a group of innovative chemists and engineers began formulating a product specifically designed to stand up to Montana's dramatic climate. For a period of six months, they tested various chemical formulations with the assistance of one of the world's largest petrochemical companies and NASA. Ultimately, they produced a super slick lubricant that remained fluid and slippery under any conditions.

The product was put through grueling tests in mining and farming equipment for a period of two years. Almost no equipment is subjected to the stress and abuse that these machines experience every day. After the tests were successfully completed in 1987 the product was introduced to the rest of the United States for general industrial and equipment use.

The product soon became the 'miracle cure" for industrialists all over the country. Users noted almost unbelievable reductions in friction and wear. As a result they lost far less of their profits to unscheduled maintenance and repairs. Encouraged by the sales results and enthusiastic testimonials from factory and heavy equipment owners, the company expanded its distribution first to Europe and then to Asia, where it quickly became a best seller in those markets as well.

In 1992, a fortunate meeting took place. At a trade show the developers of this amazing lubricant met Kyle Burns the President of an entrepreneurial company selling automotive products worldwide. He and his partner Peter Landau, the Chairman of the Board, were impressed with the product and immediately saw that it could be applied successfully to consumer use.

The engineers and chemists set to work to develop a product that was designed specifically for automobile and truck engines and contained precisely the same core formulations that made the industrial formula a success. Their work flourished and MotorUp was born!
